Hello, dear fellow travelers! Welcome to the seventh step of our Yamas series. In the first six episodes, we discussed Ahimsa (Non-violence), Satya (Truth), Asteya (Non-stealing), Brahmacharya (Right Use of Energy), Aparigraha (Non-greed), and Saucha (Purity). Today, we will focus on Ishvara Pranidhana, the seventh yama of yoga and meditation, which translates as 'surrender to the divine'.

Ishvara Pranidhana emphasizes surrendering and letting go of our ego's need for control, and instead trusting in a higher power or divine energy. It involves cultivating a sense of humility, faith, and surrender in our spiritual journey.

Let's provide an example of how Ishvara Pranidhana can be applied to our daily lives. Perhaps, in a challenging situation, you surrender your attachment to a specific outcome and trust that there is a greater plan at work. By surrendering to the divine, you find peace and acceptance in the present moment.

In this post, we explored Ishvara Pranidhana, the seventh yama of yoga and meditation. Surrendering to the divine and cultivating humility and faith are the essence of this principle.

Feel free to share what Ishvara Pranidhana has taught you in your life. Share your thoughts on how we can better integrate surrender to the divine into our daily lives.

Our journey continues with Ishvara Pranidhana, the seventh step of this summer series. In the next post, we will delve into the eighth and final yama of yoga and meditation: Samadhi, which means 'union' or 'enlightenment'.
