It appears as ABYHASA and VAIRAGYA in the philosophy of yoga. In Islamic philosophy, TEVEKKÜL (we have gathered and shortened something for the first time 😅) These sources tell us that being in a stable effort in our actions creates a transformative effect. Whatever we provide stability in our life, the transformation happens by itself, it doesn't have to serve a spiritual practice or a divine purpose.
But the question is HOW MUCH EFFORT? yes, one should be away from a goal-oriented blindness state by ignoring himself in order to consume himself and become ashes. He should be aware of what he does in his life. He must create a balance in his life between what feeds him and what transforms him.
Then we come across SUBMISSION, a subject we are not used to at all 😅 we usually build our own lives on controlling and managing, and Surrender seems like weakness to us. What about Surrender to whom and to what? How is it going to be ? In fact, Burda tells us that the state of stable effort should be done with an intention independent of its results. To avoid being blinded by the greed to achieve and to try to be a cultivator without expectation .
The state of flowing with it while being a drop, without trying to manage the flow, is actually the message it is trying to convey...
