Hello dear friends 🤗 Welcome to the second step of our patch series. In the first part, we discussed Ahimsa, that is, nonviolence. Today, we will focus on Satya, the second patch of yoga and meditation, 'righteousness'.
Satya is a Sanskrit word meaning 'truth'. However, this means not only speaking the truth, but also living the righteousness. It means that our inner thoughts, outward words and actions are in line.
Let's consider an example of how this principle can be applied to our lives. Let's say a friend asks you for an opinion and you express your true opinion to him in a way that is not offensive. This is an application of the Satya principle. Integrity requires being honest with ourselves and others.
In this article, we covered Satya, the second patch of yoga and meditation. We drew attention to the importance of speaking and living the truth, being honest with ourselves and others.
Feel free to write to me what Satya has taught you in your life. Share your thoughts on how we can better integrate Satya into our daily lives.
Our journey continues with Satya, the second step of this summer series. In the next post, we will discuss the third patch, 'Asteya', the 'do not steal' policy.
