This program, which consists of 2 modules as 95 Hours of Child and Adolescent Yoga, aims to train experts who can establish relationships with children and young people between the ages of 2-15, who have the ability to accurately and effectively explain yoga poses, breathing and meditation techniques to children and young people with stories and educational games. It is designed to be both theoretical and practical, the majority of which consists of hands-on practices.

We meet face-to-face at Yoga O Antalya (Konyaaltı) studio with those who want it, and simultaneously with those who want it, online via Zoom application.

Module 1 / CHILDREN'S YOGA 

This 40-hour module covering the childhood period between 2-7 years old will be completed with 2 weekend meetings.

Program content;

  • What is Yoga? What is not?

  • What is children's yoga and what are the differences between it and adult yoga?

  • What are the benefits and goals of children's yoga?

  • Creating sequences to prepare children's yoga sessions,

  • Creating special sequences for themes, special days and weeks, individual or group lessons,

  • Features of children's developmental stages and age-specific applications,

  • To offer special tools that can reach every child with different learning approaches,

  • Psycho-motor, cognitive and emotional development stages of children aged 2-7,

  • Tips for teaching yoga poses to children in a safe, simple and understandable way through games where there is no competition, no winner or loser, and stories that will develop their imagination,

  • Using Materials in the sessions, ensuring the hygiene of the materials used, using them safely and at the right time for children,

  • The use and importance of music and mantra in the sessions,

  • Golden rules to be applied in Classroom Management in large or small group, new or old students, studio or nursery setting,

  • Introduction to the philosophy of yoga, the 8-step path of Patanjali Yoga and ethical rules,

  • Breathing exercises specific to developmental stages, the use of materials in breathing exercises and their importance,

  • Meditation and Relaxation techniques specific to developmental stages

  • Activities to improve attention and focus periods,

  • Sharing resource books on breathing, meditation, story, development and other areas,

  • Supporting the sessions with activities that support creative thinking techniques, arts and crafts,

  • Childhood physiology and anatomy,

  • Paired yoga practice

  • Basic principles of Mother-Child Yoga,

Meeting Dates and Times;

  • 8-9 July - Saturday/Sunday

  • 5-6 August - Saturday/Sunday

  • Saturday/Sunday: 10:30 - 18:00

Who Can Participate?

  • It is open to Yoga Professionals, Parents, Preschool Teachers, Child Development Students, Alumni and Teachers, Classroom Teachers, Child and Adolescent Psychologists and Psychiatrists, Physical Education Teachers and anyone who wants to meet the Inner Child.

  • Thanks to this program, you can have yoga classes with children in kindergartens and schools, children's activity centers, yoga studios, gyms or as one-on-one private lessons.

  • It is not necessary to have any previous yoga training to participate in the program. We will be learning and practicing a lot during the program.

Additional opportunities;

  • Access to sequences prepared for different age groups and sample videos from lessons with children and young people in a studio environment,

  • When the next program is opened, re-joining to refresh the knowledge, the participants who successfully complete the program will be offered internship opportunities in real Child and Adolescent Yoga sessions in the Studio environment.

  • Documents of the program will be delivered to the participants in different forms in the form of books, PDFs and videos.

Certification Terms;

  • Participants who participate in the module and successfully complete their homework and internship will be awarded a 40-hour (YACEP) certificate approved by the Yoga Alliance.

  • You can take Module 1 alone and work comfortably with children in any institution. However, in order to receive the 95-hour Yoga Alliance-approved Children's Yoga certificate, it is required to fully attend the 2nd Module and successfully complete your homework and internships.
